Post by: Gumbo on November 13, 2011, 10:09:15 am

Here is a RC cooler on craigslist around Washington DC.

For $75 that's almost worth getting, but the missing parts seems like it would make it pretty expensive to restore.  I'm certainly not the expert in that arena though, so don't take my word on it.  Really cool that it's embossed on all sides.

That's cool! They linked to soda-machine's article about the cooler.  8)

Someone close should grab that. Killer yard art until you get around to a restoration.

And someone on here recently posted about a 180 cap catcher for sale...that's one part found. Are there racks or anything inside these coolers?

I'm the one that owns it. The wife is making me clean out the garage. For $75 this is a great deal. I was hoping Dan or Chuck (junebug) would come out and pick it up! Organially they did not have racks on the inside. The embossing on the sides with Nehi are very cool. If someone did not want to restore the whole thing, I 'm sure they could cut it down to make a smaller cooler. All 4 sides are embossed! Someone come get it! It would be a great winter project.

If Anderson is willing to palletize and drop off at a dock and you are able to pickup at a dock, it makes it more reasonable. However, you are talking about completely across the country. Guessing $300 if the stars are aligned.

Does that have sliding lids? The Coke one you have doesn't have lids, right?

Dan- the coke one is missing the lid and the RC one has a hinged lid.
