Title: 7up Selectivend 64 machine help Post by: drscotti on November 04, 2011, 08:09:17 am Hello,
just acquired a vintage 7up machine, and I'm new to vending machines. I believe its a Selectivend 64 machine. Please see attached pics. Tag says MFg by S-V Co's KC Kansas, Mod. # S3 S64SA I'm looking for anyone that might have more information and photos to help with the restoration. I just drilled out the lock and was able to get the machine open, and for the most part it appears complete. It does run, but does not seem to cool. I think I found a source for a reproduction manual. I know I'm missing the SV Wings logo emblem for the front of the machine, so I'm looking for that if anyone can help. I have no idea what it may be worth. Thanks for all your help. You may try a 3 and 1 hot start cap in the compressor to see it will kick on if its not. Funtronics has a service manual avalible for the sv 64 sa. Good luck with your new machine and I also need the sv winga emblem that goes on the coindoor also lol!!!

Great machine. Here are some inside shots to get you started. I'll see what I can do about getting some wings made. Let me know if you need more pics. Looks as if a previous owner has done some Painting and lighting modifications. Also the fan behind the cooling unit had a broken mounting stud, letting the motor slip down, bending the fan blades and keeping it from turning. I think I'll start by just restoring the inside and leave the outside with its patina.
