Title: Vendo 56 Round top ?'s
Post by: vendo39 on October 24, 2011, 01:55:27 pm
I’m trying to piece back a Vendo 56 round top that was pretty beat up and missing many parts and I need some help and or advice.
It appears to me there must have been a wooden spacer or some other type of spacer where the coin mech shaft runs between the main front door and the plastic door liner.  Is that correct?  If so, does anyone reproduce it or have an extra one to sell?  Could one of the spacers from a V-44 be modified to work?

I’m also looking for the small chrome trim piece on the left side by the bottle door.

Thanks

Brian

Brian,

I have one at home but I need it for reassembling my own 56 that is in pieces.  I will dig it out tonight and post a pic with dimensions.  It should be easy to recreate.  By the way, aren't you in KC?  I lived there for about 12 years,  in Jefferson City now.

I've noticed a wood dowel-looking piece on inside of door of a disassembled Vendo 149.  If it's the same, I can provide dimensions if you can't find otherwise from your exact machine.  Not sure this one would be same size, but can provide nonetheless.  Just let me know.

Thanks Brian and Ken.  I made a few calls to local guys and found one to copy.

Sorry I didn't get that pic up last night.  Got caught up watching the Cardinals lose.  Glad you found what you needed.  I'll be putting my 56 back together soon as well.  Can't wait to see yours.  Since we will be putting similar machines back together, I may bounce a question or two off you since I'm sure I missed a picture or two while disassembling.  Good Luck!!
