Title: Issues with door light on Vendo 110 Post by: brasskey on October 21, 2011, 11:04:12 pm The bottle door light on my Vendo 110 is having issues. I'll press it and hold it down and it will turn on fine. But, it only stays on for a few seconds to maybe 10-15 seconds as most and then just turns off and never comes back on (unless I hit the switch again). Any ideas as to what potential problems I should be looking into before I take things apart?

Title: Re: Issues with door light on Vendo 110 Post by: brasskey on October 22, 2011, 10:00:02 am sounds like bad ballast. Where is the ballast located? I just don't want to take more apart than I need to since I have no idea where it is. Have you tried a new lamp? if yours is getting old & the tube ends are blackened, it may be time for a fresh one. The bulb looks pretty old so I'll go ahead and replace it too. Title: Re: Issues with door light on Vendo 110 Post by: Ken R on October 22, 2011, 12:55:21 pm It may just be the little starter, assuming it is a flourescent bulb since you're talking about a ballast. You can pick those up for really cheap at Wally World.

Title: Re: Issues with door light on Vendo 110 Post by: johnieG on October 22, 2011, 01:38:32 pm Yep, no starter on the V-110, the push-to-start switch is the manual lamp start.

I started with the bulb and it seems to be good. Thanks for the help everyone. Title: Re: Issues with door light on Vendo 110 Post by: Slapshot42 on October 22, 2011, 07:29:48 pm The ballast as mentioned is behind the door liner. If you have to go that route once you pull the main door liner off you will see a brown block with wires, etc. If you need a new one SJW or Funtronics should have one. It will be covered or around the insulation.
Mine is also bad on my 110. I pulled my main door cover off to change out my coin.mech. I fixed my coin mech but lost motivation on the light for the time being. You can remove the mech easily without removing the liner. Title: Re: Issues with door light on Vendo 110 Post by: Slapshot42 on October 23, 2011, 11:02:47 am Not sure I know an easier way? The mech rod went behind the liner and attatched to the linkage arm with a
pin inserted. Obviously missed something..... Jared Title: Re: Issues with door light on Vendo 110 Post by: MoonDawg on October 23, 2011, 11:14:59 am That is what this plate is for.
