Title: Vendo 39 Motor Post by: nyrescue on September 30, 2011, 03:01:12 am I have a question....I am attempting to bring my pulled motor back to life with all the necessary replacement parts and paint. Which parts should I powder coat and the MAIN issue for me would be how do I get the shroud off of the coolant fins as the line are all connected. I hope I have made sense...trying to explain it at 4am was prob not the best idea haha.
Title: Re: Vendo 39 Motor Post by: SIGNGUY on September 30, 2011, 08:43:45 am It's been a while, but think the shroud should come off over the top side of the cooling lines/fins? you have to remove the screws holding the motor bracket that run through the cooling vents, as well as where they attach to the shroud.. should come off then.
you can paint or powder the shroud, motor brackets.. but that is about it? don't think it's a good idea to put the whole unit into powder...paint the rest..
