Title: Looking for a USS 8-64 or Similar Close to Baton Rouge Area
Post by: RetroMe on September 23, 2011, 02:03:10 pm
I have come to the conclusion the area around the state of Louisiana is a totally void of vintage ANYTHING. I envy you guys in the Mid West and North East...seems like you live in a Pickers heaven. I have been searching for over 6 months for a USS-8-64 machine or something similar and have yet to locate anything that is not totally junk or the seller thinks they are worth $1200. I would like to acquire one for my garage and be a everyday usage type machine. So sending out some feelers to you guys in hopes of locating one.

I've got a Cavalier CSS-64-C woodgrain front  :glare: cools great, can't remember if the coin mech works or not, no rust holes that I remember. If you are interested I can pull it out and look more closely at it, or if you want,  come look in person, you might find something else you want!

There's the same exact machine in San Antonio, but I know it's a bit of a drive from Baton Rouge.  They asking $300, but I know it would go for less than that.  Says the cooling needs some work.  Not sure exactly what that means though.  I thought I'd seen a couple up in the Shreveport area as well.
