Title: Re: 56 square top Post by: johnieG on September 18, 2011, 07:51:31 pm well, I think your over-current protector / "Klicit" ( the little round black plastic thingy to the left in the photo) is either weak, or your compressors showing it age & drawing a tad too many amps for the "Klicit" & it's opening & closing ( just like it's supposed to do.) so first I'd replace it with a 1/4 HP size 3-in-1 starter/booster, it mount externally, but it will replace all of the junk your showing in the picture.
You can get it at Graingers...here's a link...http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/SUPCO-Hard-Start-Assist-Kit-4E238?Pid=search (http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/SUPCO-Hard-Start-Assist-Kit-4E238?Pid=search) Title: Re: 56 square top Post by: cmike101 on September 18, 2011, 08:05:41 pm I was told not to use the 3 in 1(soda jerks) because my compressor is a 1/5 hp and they said i have the wrong compressor for the machine and it might fry it..It got down to 14 degrees when the thermostat wasent turned all the way down..and the compressor wasent that hot here in Texas..Oh by the way Soda Jerks have helped me so much..They really are good people..

Title: Re: 56 square top Post by: johnieG on September 18, 2011, 08:31:34 pm Yep, if your compressor is the old style vertical "pancake" ( looks more like biscuit to me) , then it is most likely a 1/5 HP, Graingers can still order you one either way, But I don't know what they mean by you having the "wrong size compressor" for your machine...but I don't know much about your machine either.. my little Faygo VF56 square-top has a 1/5 HP unit in it too. VF56's & VF63 "thrift-vends" had 1/5 HP units, while the V63 & V90 standard duty machines used a 1/4 HP compressor.
