Title: Shipping? Post by: loman4ec on May 27, 2004, 12:26:15 pm I am thinking about buying another machine and have found one that I rather like on greed bay. I was just wandering what a general price is to ship a machine. I know you can never tell how much it will be unless you have both address'. I guess what I am asking is what have any of you paid for shipping and who do you use? Thanks
Title: Shipping? Post by: audiobeer on May 27, 2004, 08:25:23 pm The only way I find that it is affordable is if the seller is willing to put it on a pallet and take it to a shipper. I have found I can get about any machine shipped via Forward air for $125 - $250 + whatever the seller charges to crate it. You can expect that to cost you an additional $125 - $200.
Title: Shipping? Post by: on May 31, 2004, 11:06:49 pm I just had a C-72 shipped from Wisconsin to Houston via Roadway Express for just over $300 Dock to Dock. Luckily I had a seller who was willing to crate and take the machine to the roadway dock. I may have paid more using roadway but it was who the seller was farmiliar with so I went with it. Best of Luck

Problem is it won't get here until mid-July No crating, no pallet. He just throws a moving blanket on it and off he goes. The seller has used him many times and is very happy with him. He considers himself a mover of antiques and collectibles - not just a shipper. I'll let you know how it goes. Mid-July seems miles away... Title: Shipping?
