Title: Stoner 180 in Mid Green Hammertone Post by: Jim on September 03, 2011, 05:21:46 pm Hello everyone,
Hope the holiday weekend goes well for everybody ! ! ! I'm slowly getting back into restoring and my Stoner 180 is the first "big" project I have completed. I did finish restoring a Vendo Coin Changer a couple of months back, but that's a small project... I uploaded a few images into the Photo Gallery for the >>Stoner 180 (http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=66&g2_itemId=6464)<< I'm getting everything ready for my Vendo V-81B to be painted... The painter has a test panel to see how clear will affect the sample water transfer decals I applied to the panel... Once everything is tested, it's time to paint and begin re-assembly! Is that what you did? I do want to experiment with colored resins, create a mold, eight actually, mix the base color and swirl in white or some other color and pour the resin mix into the molds. This would get very close to the originals...Mine are just powder-coated red. I powder-coated all the shelves, product display and brackets, the red trim around the mirror, and the black base is also powder-coated since this woud hold up to foot traffic better. Not trying to be a "stickler" but you have done a great job restoring a "Stoner Senior" modal. Yours will vend 160 candy bars total. 8 slots with 20 shelves in each slot for a total of 160. Stoner 180s have square mirrors with chrome bezels on 3 sides and 8 slots with 25 trays totalling 180 selections. Just trying to be helpful. Curtis can verify. Here is a pictrue of my Stoner 180. I have been restoring Stoners for 10 years. I thought all Jrs were 120s There is a Junior Deluxe model (large bezel that holds identification tag) and standard Juniors (small bezel). What is a 120? In the Stoner manual that can be download this site http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=94&Itemid=61 it shows 6 models (thanks Jim & Larry) 1) Senior 8 slot w/20 shelves (160) 2) Junior 6 slot w/17 shelves (102) 3) Theater model 8 slot w/20 shelves (160) with a illuminate mirror and candy display 4) Dual theater model two theater model attached at the base total (320) 5) Senior with Gum & Mint Unit & coin changer 7 slot w/20 shelves (140) and mint & gun racks 5) 120 which is a taller Junior 6 slots w/20 shelves ...quote from the manual " The Model 6-120 Univendor is a composite machine base on both the junior and the Senior Univendor No 180 was list, so I think it did come later, I sill have to change my list of machines from a Stoner 180 to a Storner Senior |
