I dunno... I think I'd rather watch the pick chicks than the pick men.. Even though they don't have a clue, they are still pretty hot..   8)

They're two designers, the blonde from Trick My Trailer and the Brunett from Home Makeover... not even “real people” like the 2 guys...
Hot yes!..sisters Uh  no... just out using their looks to rip off people and make furniture out of their finds... staged...

I don't *live* for reality shows like some do American Idol but from the commercials, Billy the Exterminator looks like a real goober. And why would anyone watch a show about Mustaches and Beards? Sorry don't know the show's name, just saw a commercial. I'm still waiting to see how mundane we can get. How bout a show on oh, I don't know...lawnmowing?  snow shoveling?  snoring?  farting?  How low can you go?

As I understand it, beard competition is very vey popular in Europe. Most of the great, and lousy shows on American TV were/are British  TV rips offs.

I am starting to be really happy that I am too cheap to buy cable. I have american pickers on Netflix on demand. Its a descent show. At least they were really doing this prior to the show and they know their history. Well I guess that part could be staged couldn't it. i also like deadliest catch. They are really doing what we see. Yes they throw in a little drama here and there but it is in all a really good show. It take some big balls to do what they do for a living. There is no way I would every think of being on a crab boat. Other than those I cant stand the other shows

This is the first I've heard of Picker Sisters. It doesn't sound very good.

Just a side thought: Does anyone else ever see things on American Pickers and wonder why the guys don't even look at it or ask about it? For example, they are rummaging through a barn or garage and there is a ton of stuff, but there are things that I would want to take with me that they don't even give a second glance to.

I guessing because it's not in the pickers script!

There is no creativity in Hollywood or at the networks either.  Almost all of the so-called "reality" shows follow the same formula and copy each other on ideas.  As fas as Hollywood--lets see we can make movies out of every comic book/cartoon ever written, do a sequel of something that wasn't very good to begin with or we can remake a movie that originally had much better actors and scripts and just add better special effects:

Current Top Movies

Planet of the Apes
The Smurfs
Captain America
Transformers

Comins Soon
Conan the Barbarian--haven't we seen that before
Fright Night--Oh boy, another vampire movie!

That is why I have not been into a movie theater in many years--I refuse to pay high prices for substandard product.

Fright Night is also a remake. The original was good.
Red Dawn and Footloose were remade and coming out later this year.

When people start realizing how hokie the shows are, and how one is a rip off of the other, they will be replaced. Sadly with new mindless drivel.

The only great movie out now is harry potter. Sorry I am a potter fan. The latest is awesome. I love how they have gotten darker as the kids get older. In the first movie it was almost a kids movie but now it is a full blown action suspense thriller. What a great story and great movie. Sorry just my two cents.

can't remember if i saw it here or on oldgas but apparently they clean these guys out but only show them buying unique stuff.  i guess they don't want week after week of us watching them buy signs

I agree and wonder the same thing. I find myself searching the background and pausing the DVR to see many things I would love to have and worth alot more than the same old oil can they pick up. They step over a dollar to pick up a nickel . . . .

Bet they have a box truck follow them.. I've seen a few shows where they look at a couple items but when they are saying their goodbyes.. there are several pieces now laying buy the door.. no way on a few shows did they stuff everything into that van... I'm sure they just select a few items
to talk and deal on in front of the camera... or else they would be making no money... driving hundreds of miles for just a oil can or Harley gas tank
wouldn't be worth the trip.... Well until now... they are probably making several thousand each per episode now. I still enjoy watching them mainly to see what they find... I think the finds are real but these people are calling in to be found...  Some amazing stuff still out there....

Poor Picker Sisters...  You guys need to give them a break, life can't be easy being attractive women in Southern California...  Much less when you travel the country to humid areas like Mississippi and your cute head band can't even keep your overly teased hair from falling and your make-up becoming a mess.  Its a bit tough to watch the show, but the idea is good, take old scrap and repurpose into something usable and hopefully good looking.  Also I think that its showing on the Lifetime network, known more for battered wife made for tv movies starring 80s & 90's sitcoms stars than interesting programming.  These shows are cheap to produce, and thats why they continue to pop up.  For example:  Hillbilly Handfishin'....  production costs pretty low...  You need a creek or river and some red necks.  These aren't hard to find here in Oklahoma.

That is one I will have to watch.  It is like seeing a train wreck--it is awful but you can't look away!
