Title: Winona, MN Coke Machines Video
Post by: dr galaga on August 06, 2011, 05:25:16 pm
I came across this video (http://discussions.mnhs.org/shpo/2011/01/10/pmn2010-01-coca-cola_bottling_co_winona_historic_commerce_tour/) today that the Minnesota Historical Society shot last winter. It shows all of the collectible items that they have at the Winona Coke plant, but mostly the machines. Keep an eye out for a V-39 in an original shipping box  :oh: .

Cool video!
Do they offer tours of the plant to the general public or was that a special tour for the Hysterical Society?

A few years ago I asked for a tour and all they showed me was the bottling/filling area for the returnable bottles and the Cornelius post mix kegs.

Cool video!  I liked how when someone asked if the Vendo 39 was from the 40's and the guide said yes.  I know 39s started to come out in 1949, but I wonder if he checked the serial number??
