Title: What is the value and age? Post by: Chris on July 12, 2011, 06:44:12 pm I found this at an antique shop recently and was very apprehensive on popping on it because of the $$ $1400.00 So I was wondering how much it was truly worth, who makes it and how old?
Thanks! Title: Re: What is the value and age? Post by: oscar on July 12, 2011, 07:09:57 pm No where near that price. I've seen them for as low as $500

Title: Re: What is the value and age? Post by: loman4ec on July 12, 2011, 08:09:19 pm Barrels are not really in high demand. I have seen nice ones go for much less than that. there were a lot of them made, they are big and they really are quite ugly especially when compared to an outboard motor style. I wouldn't walk I would run from that deal.

Title: Re: What is the value and age? Post by: Chris on July 12, 2011, 09:02:00 pm Thanks guys! I kinda figured the same. I like the way it looks but I felt that was way more than it was worth or what I would pay. I may email the guy in Chicago though try to get it for 450 or so.
