You definitely need to get over and look it over. If it is complete and it works I would get it.

Don't forget to make him a lower offer just to see if you can get it for even less.

Good luck

Since it has a stack rather than a drum, it should be able to vend cans.
That machine is a good buy at anywhere under $500.

I don't believe there is enough room for cans to fall through the rocker arms.  I use to use 8 oz Michelobs, when I was a kid.  That's all that would fit in there.  They were a little short and would jam after awhile.  I tried little Millers but the bottles were a hair too wide.  You could file down the ears on the vending rockers, but I chose not to do that.  They are cool looking machines.  It is my favorite machine as far as looks goes.  Right up there with the Mills 400C.

Thanks fellas, I even haggled him down even lower, seems like every time I get the money to put into a machine I end buying another one instead, funny how that works.

Nice machine,  so that's #6,  where do you put them all?  in a  pole barn, big garage,  big house  etc? Do U collect anything else,  arcade games, pinball machines, stoner candy machines,  etc?

Well, they're all down in my basement, not a big basement really, just got them lined up against the wall right next to the pool table all waiting to be restored. I collect coke button signs and anything soda really. Really just got into it all about a year and half ago so not too big of a collection.... yet. Been wanting some gas pumps and I am dying for a Wurlitzer 1015. I'm starting to get into signs and what not. Probably the youngest guy on this site but got quiet the collection so far.

Hey MOTOMAN!
Nice score!  Great machine!!!!
Yeah, I have the bug too lol..... I too now have 6 machines as well, all in the basement.  I've placed them throughout the mancave, that they are all out of the way when entertaining, and when people are over, they are ALL in awe!  I still want a couple of more (VMC 7up 81 and a classic Vendo 39) but who knows what else will come along that peaks my interest.

I too am looking at vintage signs... but they are WAY too much on greedbay.... but I've gotten a few door pushes now, at great prices for what they are! They are all so slim, that they fit great on the walls in small spaces.

How young are you?  Hmm I think Im gonna start a thread on chat on this topic lol

I think one of the younger guys is Jack on this site.. met him a Chicago last fall, great kid, ambitious and is finding some great stuff lately.. he lives with Mom and Dad still so guessing pretty young?

It's funny how it's one machine after the next. Signs are a lot of fun and believe me the majority of the ones I watch on greedbay go way beyond budget and common sense. I have both machines you would like to have Bonovox, VMC 7up is definitely a cool machine although my Vendo 39 was my first machine and is my favorite machine of all time. You got quiet the collection! The door pushes are way cool, I've been wanting one for awhile now. I love the Coca-Cola button signs, first one I bought was a 48" and man did I under estimate the shear size of the thing once I bought it, definitely can't tuck it in anywhere. As much as I love the signs I have a hard time spending that much cash on a sign when I can get a machine for sometimes the same or less money, lol hence why I have more machines than signs. And I'll soon be 20.

The VMC 72 must be a young machine.  I bought mine when I was 21.  Still have it twenty six years later.  That machine is awesome.  It was my first coin op machine.  I bought a Westinghouse WD-12?  when I was 17.  Sold that one five years ago.  I still don't have an 81 yet.

Yes the sign market is crazy.. it has settled down a bit, compared to a few years ago when I was doing a lot of signs, (hence my user name when I signed up to SMC).
I remember the first time I spent 75.00 on a sign and thought I was crazy.. a few months later I paid 150 for a cool one , then got really crazy and spent 550 on a super mint button sign with arrow at a show and thought what the Hell am I doing.. after that the 550 was the lowest I spent on future signs, But things worked out well, and I have bought and upgraded / sold and repurchased several high end tin and porcelain signs for many years and that part of the hobby has been good to me. I'll share what an older sign collector told me when I first started.. don't buy 3 100 signs, buy one nice 300 sign and you'll do ok with it down the road... that is what i did and it worked.. ok , off my soapbox.. I just love the stuff too much, I cringe every time I pull one off the wall to sell.
