Title: O.M.G
Post by: jnapp18 on May 18, 2011, 11:33:33 am
So we are getting our carpets replaced, which means moving everything out of my room. The only things left were my bed and my Coke Cooler (repainted like 5 months ago). So I was heading upstairs to let them know to carefully move the coke cooler to another room, I look into my bathroom and see my coke cooler on its freshly painted side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :darn:  :darn:  :darn:  :censored:  :censored:  :veryangry:  :veryangry:  :jawdrop:  :jawdrop: Isn't it common sense not to lay something on its side when it looks pristine and barely has any padding under it!?!? They are still working but we will see if anything has happened to the cooler. For now cross your fingers...

That metal is so stong you could stand on the other end and not dent it but the white lettering is sure to be scuffed  :darn:

Well Jack make sure you check it before they leave  if they have damage it  they should have insurance to cover stolen or damage property.

I can't believe they didn't even put something under it?
Yeah - look it over real good before they leave and, if damaged, get them to sign something indicating they acknowledge the damage.

I would be raising holy he**... I would go in there right now and have them stand it back up... who knows what they did to it, maybe they slide it in from the entrance of the door, maybe they dropped it down.

You ARE going to have some damage to it,, lettering for sure, if not a dent, but surely scratched up to heck... I wouldn't wait for them to finish, tell them it has to be stood upright RIGHT NOW! so you have time to let the oils setlle back down and test the cooling unit as well.

wow.. I'm mad for you right now!  :veryangry:

UUUUHHHHH......  Wow....  I just don't know what to think about that.  I don't fault anyone who gets out and works for a living, but in past experiences I have found that carpet companies aren't always hiring MENSA members.  At my last place I worked they had the carpets replaced through the building and the job was so bad that one of our radio engineers and I got to go back and redo most of it.  I think some of the workers were day laborers and had never done carpet before...  So while it doesn't really suprise me that carpet layers did something like that, as that glue does give you a pretty good buzz, I am very sorry that it happend.  Nothing like one more headache...

I did have them stand it up and i took a good look at it, So far I have come across no damage. PHEW. But they are coming back tomorrow, so I am going to look at every inch of the cooler to make sure there is no damage.

Some people just have no ability to think. And the consequences of actions don't even phase them, even after they realize the stupidity of there actions.

I am happy that everything turned out Ok.
