I know nothing about it Creighton, so I can't help you but it looks like a fun way to kill time while waiting for clothes to dry.

that is one of my favorite games, use to play it almost every day.  here is something you might be interested in and the price is right.  They are usually all scratched up.

Thats pretty cool! What makes the images on the screen? I noticed that it said no film, no belts and other stuff so just curious since it sounds like it does not have a CRT in there like an 80's arcade game.

SB,
Best I can tell the the cars are projected from the spinning disks to the screen. No idea how this worked but will be sorting it out :-)
I do remember playing this game. 1971 or so.

Speedway is in the shop. That is one heavy machine. It will be an interesting project. Insane amount of relays and wiring.

Need a slug rejector and backglass for starters.

Attached pics are as found condition. Cabinet and glass are just dirty. Should clean up fine.

Thanks for any input!!

Sweet machine, 8)   and with schematic you are all set. All the electrical components  should be easy to get . it looks  like it used similar parts as the EM pinballs of the same time. Gotta  love the engineering  that when into these before  solid state.

I believe that item has been for sale in Spokane in the past (ebay and craigslist).  Did you purchase it from a guy named Terry?

Didn't catch his name. Wife was Michael. It was in the laundry room of a rental he owned on south hill.
Looks like it started in Yakima, 1970 and last licensed 1981 Cheeny.
Know anything about it?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!!
>>lives out in the valley and wanted $600 for his
Don't think it is the same machine. Paid $100 for this one.
Guy was piss*d because people had called offering more. Payed him via paypal before it was picked up.
Glad he was good to his word.
Will post some vids.
Anyone with a slug rejector or good backglass please give a holler.
Thanks!!

Do you need a dime or quarter slug rejector? Assuming it is the same as pinball and later arcade machines, I have plenty of quarter rejectors. I'll just send you one if you can use it. Email me a good pic of the rejector bracket.

A very happy day. It is working 100%. Found a couple of guys that knew how to fix EM's. A hour of clean/lube in the right spots and good to go. Just cosmetics left. Only a year and a half. Fast track for projects 'round here :-)

Well, 23 #44 light bulbs later it's looking better.
Still a ways to go.
Does anyone recall at what point the bell would ring?
Thanks!!

Thanks Jared!
The restore on this unit is intense.
Great fun though.
Buddy of one of EM techs just scored an embossed 7-Up 35 slider for 30 bucks. At a local auction. Missing rack but everything else there.
No other bids. Thinking should get out more.

Might be a 55 if it's embossed...don't think they made a embossed 7UP 35...either way cool find and great price!

I remember playing that machine in the late 60's early 70's. Certainly not cheap for those days, $1000. I wonder what a machine like this could have earned in a summer season back then, if placed at the right location.

If you think about it a quarter in late 60's early 70's had a lot more value and kids have to spend there money somewhere  I'm thinking it paid for it self a few times over in a summer season. Also, I remember Cedar Point in Ohio had a huge arcade with allot of these classics including this one.
