Title: Old National Changer
Post by: Basementgeek on May 16, 2011, 08:18:26 am
Hi all:

I have one last changer that will be going to trash very soon if no body wants it:

National model 8-01-025, all metal including rejector.  Early to mid 60's.  Got brass and chrome
on it. Works?  some.  It has problems I think

Price ?, $10.00 USD plus actually cost of shipping from 43204 (USA only)

I hope I read this or took this wrong.
IF no one will buy this for 10. plus shipping, you'd rather throw it away???
Why not just let someone have it and they just pay shipping if they want it.
like I said, maybe I just read your post wrong.

Hi:

No, you read it correctly.

The reason for the $10.00 charge is because I will have to find box/packing material and get it ready
and then drive to UPS and back.

Trowing it in my trash can is easy !

Ahh never mind. I thought it was something else. I though it was a coin changer not a coin mech.

No problem.........

Off to the trash next week then.

I was merely trying to help someone out with 60's area vending machine that used an 8 plug
Jones plug and wanted something other than a plastic coin mech.

I had an old junk National mech, pulled the Jones plug and wires off, and wired the cord up with a free vend switch.  That way you can carry it with you to test out a machine if the coin mech isn't working, its a nice quick test.  Just an idea.

If it has a metal slug rejector I would be interested. Can you contact me at jdloman2000@yahoo.com. I can always use slug rejectors. Can you send me a picture of the whole changer? Is it a changer or a non change giving mech?

Here is a picture I found of some months ago.  It is the bottom left one

(Note - I am NOT a collector etc of old vendors, never have been.  I never really want to see inside a
vending machine again since I serviced/filled them for 23 years)

tkaz :  If you want cut off Jones plugs, I have some left.  Also have one rejector only that will do free vend and a couple of Jones plug that
have relay, no pushing of a hidden button required.

I appreciate the offer but they are no good to me...

I know you worked on the National Cigarette Machines.. Don't suppose you have the product card holders for either the seven or nine pull machines.
The whole thing is missing on mine.

Hi all:

Well since I started this thread just thought I would update it.

It will be p/u Monday by the local trash people.  Really thought somebody would appreciate it
having an all metal coin mech instead of those plastic coinco every body has.

I tried!
