Title: Vendo V-154-14?
Post by: ArcadeMemories on May 03, 2011, 10:01:38 pm
Hi, Everyone

I have an opportunity to purchase what I think is a Vendo V-154-14.

The guy says he has had the machine for 20 years or so and was originally asking $300, But I got him down to $200 almost instantly, so I think I can really get it for $150-$175.

Only thing missing is the "coin mechanism" and the key.  He says other than that it runs perfectly and gets ice cold.

I know its not really all that collectible, but all I have now is an Ideal 35 slider so this is something alittle different.

Anyway, what are your guys thoughts on the machine?  Is it a Vendo V-154-14?  Price?  How hard is it to find a coin mech? etc....

Ita a big machine but I would give him 150 for it just for the cooling deck 200 is not too bad since it works

Stick with your 35, that thing is a monster. Don't give him a dime, but tell him you will haul it away for free. Scrap yards won't accept it because the freon is harmful to the atmosphere. People with those huge machines find very few buyers.
Who needs a machine for home use that holds 154 bottles? Wait for a Vendo 56 or 63 for the same price.
