I guess I don't know the product your talking about, but the color of whatever rustproofing you use, wouldn't affect the cooling. that is the job of the insulation used.
but i'm curious as to what this product is you are talking about?

I'm no rocket scientist, but I don't think roofing sealer is going to keep in the cold. and i am not sure it could be a sound insulator like undercoating  is.

I could see it working fine for a cabinet, but I don't know if the silver/black difference really applies here.  The silver is aimed at reflecting the sunlight off the roof, and being the inside of a vending machine...not so much sun in there.

I will be putting in insulation and the  undercoat (silver stuff),i just thought the silver would help reflect the cold back in better than the other stuff...Just a thought,im still trying to learn about different technics.  Thanks for the replys !!

ask away, it's how everyone learns something new, or  can share their experience and knowledge

The silver roof seal coating you've mention would take forever to set, it will remain pliable & it's not intended to be over-painted/top coated, I'd stick with a POR, or one of the spray-one truck bed coatings.
