Here is my 7UP transitional and Vendo 63. Also the C-51s in my profile pic.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: cmike101 on April 19, 2011, 08:51:53 pm Hey Red Sparks can you tell me what the differance in the regular 7up,and the transitional machine is? I found a dr pepper machine that looks like yours.I like it ..Thanks
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Eric on April 19, 2011, 09:17:03 pm Here is three of mine...
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: RED SPARKS on April 19, 2011, 09:31:20 pm To my understanding these are from when they went from the round top 7UP 81 to the square top style in the 60's. They were only made for a short time in 1959, and you will notice it still has the coin door and mech on the outside. Mine is embossed with a different older 7UP emblem under the red logo sticker you see. As for a Dr. Pepper transitional I don't know... Maybe someone else can tell you more. There were possibly some generic transitionals that were made. So if its a decent machine and its not embossed than you can make it whatever you want. Personally I feel the pure cane sugar Dr. Pepper is the nectar of the Gods and would love to have a Dr. Pepper machine. Again I am just going with what I have learned from here so there is probably more to know. A pic of the one your looking at would help the others tell you more...

Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Eric on April 19, 2011, 09:44:48 pm Looks like a Selectivend but taller than a Selectivend 48...
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: loman4ec on April 19, 2011, 10:00:15 pm Its a selectivend 96 conversion. It is a VERY tall and heavy machine. Due to its size they are not very popular. It was originally a single vend small bottle only that was later converted to a multi vend machine. They are not very common but still not very sought after as with other big machines. I have not had the 96 but have had the 48 model and they are even much heavier than the Vendo machines.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: cmike101 on April 19, 2011, 10:06:27 pm Really,i learn a few things on here everyday..The heavy part scares me..Thanks guys

Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: RED SPARKS on April 20, 2011, 08:38:32 am Rod what type of tune's is the funtronic's juke jamming? I really like that thing... Not that the rest of the show case isn't outstanding but that juke has outstanding color.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: loman4ec on April 20, 2011, 09:07:02 am Yes that juke is awesome. When I was a kid we had a Seeburg G that was done just like that. It sat in our kitchen with a Vendo 39. My friends thought we were crazy, but it got me into the hobby and I love it. Just think now some of your sons will carry on the hobby like I did. I really thank my dad for sharing this with me and it really gives us something to talk about to this day. So all of you Dads that take your kids along on finds and let them help build machines it will pay off down the road.

Not that the rest of the show case isn't outstanding but that juke has outstanding color. Mostly 50's tunes. I also have some Coke records in it (Buy the World a Coke Etc. Etc.) Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Zach on April 20, 2011, 11:27:06 pm Hey thanks Ciawarrior, it's a work in progress. Everyone tells me I have too many machine's but I don't think I have a enough. I'm dying for a Wurlitzer 1015 down there and a gas pump. Gas pump is more likely to be next, 1015 is just too pricey right now, but someday.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Kilroy on April 21, 2011, 06:17:01 am upi can find a complete, unrestored 1015 around 3500. Keep in mind they only play 78's , perosnally, I love big band and old blues.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Zach on April 21, 2011, 02:51:21 pm I love classic rock, can you find alot of classic rock on 78's? I know nothing about vinyl but would be something I'd like to get into.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: davethebirdman on April 21, 2011, 03:03:03 pm I don't think you'll find much classic rock on 78. 78rpm started to die out from the mid fifties onwards. What you do get is some stonking R & B... A Wurly 1100 is very high on the wants list. Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: davethebirdman on April 21, 2011, 03:10:02 pm Some pictures of my little room.. There's a 39 and a Jacobs 50 hidden amongst all the other tat... Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Kilroy on April 21, 2011, 03:24:07 pm Dave is correct, motoman, there are 1015 rero's, the Wurlitzer One more time that play 45's or Cd's,
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Pat Pixley on April 21, 2011, 03:57:24 pm Dave great pictures :tounge:
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: loman4ec on April 21, 2011, 04:22:00 pm back in the late 80's when the one more time 1015 first came out my father was a dealer for them. They are very well built for reproductions and are nice boxes. I agree that I love the look of the original 1015 but since it only plays 78's just makes it not very practical. I would get a seeburd c, g or R instead or even a Rockola from the late 50's. They are great boxes. If you on a budget you can get an AMI F cheap and although they are somewhat ugly its still a 50's just and you cant beet the sound from an AMI.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: SIGNGUY on April 21, 2011, 04:52:01 pm I'd second that as well, yes I'd love a 1015, but it's too old to go with my era of stuff.. my 50's era Seeburg G fits in nicely with the chrome and colors of the 50's.. when I do get my 1015 or 1100 Wurly, it will most likely go upstairs with the other Antiques. (yes my wife already said so)!!! wooo hooo!
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Zach on April 21, 2011, 05:33:41 pm Yes I've seen the one more time jukeboxes but theres nothing like having an original. But in the 1950's Wurlitzer created 45 conversion kits for the 1015. Now if I could find one that was converted with one of those kits thatd be sweet. But I'm sure those go for alot more $. I honestly look at the 1015 as piece of art, and in my opinion its the Mona Lisa of jukeboxes. And Dave that is an amazing collection you got there!
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Larry on April 21, 2011, 06:06:26 pm Everybody's stuff is nice. I like Moondawgs racial machine. Very cool. Rod and Janet, cool display case. Nice 81's, 33, 39's, sliders, 44, 80, jukes, all kinds of stuff that I would like to have. Dave nice collection of smaller vending machines. I like the gum, candy, and nut machines you have. Pretty cool to have a British vendor. I even noticed a Perfumatic hanging in the background. Nice. Maybe I'll take a few shots of my stuff.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: BrianS on April 21, 2011, 07:03:08 pm You can definately convert the 1015 to play 45s. My Rockola has essentially the same play and record handling mechanism as the 1015. There is a plate that you mount to the 45 and it sits in the holder that the 78 originally sat in. Basically makes the 45 the same diameter as the 78. I've been playing 45's in mine for almost 20 years.

Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: davethebirdman on April 22, 2011, 02:02:17 am Thanks Larry I have more than fourty vendors on the wall. Mostly British but my favourites are the American bits I have bought back on my travels or sourced over here. I think that if I were to buy a 1015 I would want it on 78... There is some great music out there waiting to be discovered. The orignal Shake Rattle & Roll by Big Joe Turner, Fats Domino, Chck Berry Ruth Brown... Try some of it on youtube and you'll be hooked. Without those guys they'd have been no Elvis... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20Feq_Nt3nM Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Larry on April 22, 2011, 06:44:18 am I have that exact video in my Youtube favorites too. Plenty of great 78's out there.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: RC kid on April 22, 2011, 07:38:17 am I've had the RC 110 for over twenty years now. I picked up the Pepsi machine three years ago.
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Cokemachinesandmore on April 22, 2011, 08:34:00 am Dave your stop and go pulver machine looks mint !
Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: davethebirdman on April 22, 2011, 09:29:43 am The Pulver machine is in excellent condition. I picked it up whilst in Florida last year had it shipped to me and bought it home in my luggage. The guy I got it from is a big time collector. He had a Cop & Robber too but just couldn't stretch to that. All I need now is a Zeno.... Title: Re: Pictures of your machines Post by: Kilroy on April 23, 2011, 09:30:23 am Thanks. I gave up on thinking I'd own one, then made a deal for this one. It's solid, including the often missing coin gear. And I have enough 78's to fill it and then some =)

It has all those guys and more...Ray Charles, The Clovers, The Drifters, Esther Phillips...not all may have made the 78 era, but a lot of great music! |
