Title: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 13, 2011, 09:19:06 pm Looking for the correct parts for my machine to fix this part someone cobbled in . (works) Let me know if you can help. Should be the spring loaded T. Thanks
Title: Re: v-81b Post by: collecture on April 13, 2011, 11:03:00 pm You can get a reproduction linkage from the sponsors.
Title: Re: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 14, 2011, 06:36:21 am I can get the spring and T bar but unsure of what else is missing to connect those parts .
Title: Re: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 14, 2011, 06:41:27 am I don't need the linkage I assume the parts I need are on the bottle door housing .
Title: Re: v-81b Post by: BrianS on April 14, 2011, 11:34:11 pm Zadd,
Is this what you are looking for? Its one of my pics to help me remember how to put my 81D back together once I get all the pieces back from replating. Hopefully your 81B has the same mechanism. As I recall, Backet "A" mounts to the bottle door frame. Pivot Arm "B" has a smaller diameter pin on the bottom side (not visible in pic) that fits into the hole on Bracket A. Screw and washer "C" come in from the back side of Bracket "A" to hold the Pivot Arm in place. Spring "D" slides over the Pivot Arm post and T-Bar "E" slides through the slot in the pivot arm post and is held in place by the spring. At least I think that is how it goes. Will find out for sure once I actually get to the reassemble part of the project. Title: Re: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 15, 2011, 06:24:34 am That's it ... Part B is what I need along with the t and spring . Atleast I know what it looks like now . Thanks :drinking:
Title: Re: v-81b Post by: SIGNGUY on April 15, 2011, 08:29:37 am It looks like on yours that "Rod" that the T bar and spring moutn to has been sheared off? cause it looks like the welded on a post onto your linkage?
I might have that part.. I''ve got a few 81's apart now for restoration so I'll look in my box of parts and see.. I know I had a few linkages in there for various machines , just have to see if they match up to the 81 linkage piece. I don't believe that part is reproduced from any of our sponsors? I'll look at this weekend. John Title: Re: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 15, 2011, 04:10:52 pm Thanks John . I'm will take apart the machine this weekend and get a better look at the linkage . Let me know .
Title: Re: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 19, 2011, 08:51:34 pm The linkage was fine . I just need the barrel and bar with spring and the mounting hardware . Are the parts from a 110 work ?What woe be a fair price to pay for these parts ? Thanks

Came across this on Ebay. Looks like it has the pieces you are looking for. http://cgi.ebay.com/1950-Coca-Cola-Vendo-110-81-Main-door-vending-linkage-/300549598331?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fa26ec7b Title: Re: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 21, 2011, 09:23:21 am Yeah. I'm watching it but we emailed back and forth and the guy said he really didn't know what it was worth so I offered 20.00 plus actual shipping and the guy never responded back an now he has it on eBay . :glare:
Title: Re: v-81b Post by: coke_and_stuff on April 21, 2011, 06:27:42 pm $20 is very fair kinda a hard part to sell I had 4-5 of them and it took me 3 years to sell them
Joey Title: Re: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 25, 2011, 06:13:10 pm Well guys keep your eyes out for me . Still looking for that part . The one on eBay went for way more than I would have thought . Thanks
Title: Re: v-81b Post by: SIGNGUY on April 25, 2011, 10:46:17 pm Ok,
finally made it out to the shed and found the part I thought I had. only problem is that is not from a V81.. it's reversed.. I would think would be easy to switch, just drill out the rivet and turn it over and reattach.. it's the same size, even has the same stamped markings on it as an orignal 81, it's just a different configuration for another vendo machine I suppose? not sure from what as it was just in a box of parts i got a few years ago. if you just need the post, it just is held in with a screw on the back, so I'm sure you could make it work? if it will work for you... it's yours... contact me and we'll discuss.. Title: Re: v-81b Post by: zadd on April 26, 2011, 06:33:54 am Email sent . Thanks
