Title: Ambient temp for a cooling unit outside of a machine? Post by: tkaz on March 31, 2011, 05:51:05 pm I just finished up my V-90 cooling system, and everything seems to be working great on it, compressor runs great after 2 years of sitting. I don't have the machine to test it out in, but it is blowing cool air, which gets down to about 55 degress at the back of the evaporator unit. Is that a normal temp for a unit sitting in the open air, is there some way I can test it all out without having it in the machine?
Title: Re: Ambient temp for a cooling unit outside of a machine? Post by: MoonDawg on March 31, 2011, 06:01:49 pm If you block the evaporator fan and let it run for a while, you will want to see all of the coils ice up. If for example.......8 out of 9 ice up, then it may be slightly low on freon.
