Title: Cavalier C-51
Post by: kstt on March 30, 2011, 10:22:35 am
I have a nice C 51 I'm thinking of selling. I know these don't bring the big bucks, but what do you guys feel is a fair asking price?

It's an all-red machine in original condition. I have owned it since 1975. It has been indoors (heated) and run very sparingly since. The paint is very, very good, and the lettering - both embossed on the door, and the "Have a Coke in Bottles" on the sides, is excellent. It runs quietly and cools fine. The coin and vend mechs are fine. The only defects are that the lock mechanism for the coin door is missing, and the "Sold Out" feature is frozen up.

My guess would be $700+/- if it is as nice as you say.
I would try to resolve the defects as they may affect the selling price.

I was thinking $700, actually.
Sorry about no pix. I figured that when I actually get down to selling it, I'll be taking pictures. For now, you can see it in the SMC gallery, in "Kirk's Downstairs Diner". They just aren't detailed enough for appraisal purposes.
