Title: Re: Question on Vendo 83 Post by: collecture on March 26, 2011, 10:27:09 pm You take the baffle plate from the rear of the liner on a VMC-27A/33 (not the tabletop) and adjust the chute and long neck bottles will fit and vend. Walter's says that cans will fit with a drum modification, but I've never met anyone who knew what he was referring to.
Never heard of a V-83 modified drum... Title: Re: Question on Vendo 83 Post by: Pat Pixley on March 26, 2011, 10:38:34 pm Ok was not sure if it was done or not , could not remember. Ok then can it be done ?? :Oo:
Title: Re: Question on Vendo 83 Post by: johnieG on March 26, 2011, 11:05:03 pm I know the V-39 has a modified drum/aftermarket drum that will allow for 12-0oz. bottles to be vended by inserting them crown first into the drum, but as far as I know nobody ever has made a modified V-83 drum...
the problem with a V-83 is that the drum is support by an axle much like the V-39, but because of the weight of the larger drum, that axle is supported by a large rectangular support member that runs the full height of the inside tank, thus not allowing for a longer bottle to be vended. While the V-39 drum support is more flush to the rear of the cabinet thus allowing for more clearance between the rear of the drum & the back wall of the tank. the diagram shows the approx. differences in the mounting of the respective drums. red for the V39, blue for the V83... |
