Title: Early 20th Century Vendos?
Post by: FRESNO MAN on March 15, 2011, 09:11:51 pm
Came across these pics and couldn't help but think of vending machines. They probably never took hold because the actuators failed or didn't give the proper change. Kind of a unique take on a parking garage!

That is cool! Do you have to shake it when your car gets stuck?

I remember seeing a couple of those in Ann Arbor, MI back in the early 70's.  They were at a parking lot near the University Hospital.  I remember thinking " a ferris wheel for cars!"  8)

They are also very common in Singapore. I had to park my van in one several times when I still lived downtown. They are a great solution to limited space issues.
