Post by: bubba on March 07, 2011, 02:54:46 pm
Saw this ad on CL for a 1946 Jukebox - $1400... So I look at the ad, and its a 1946 seabird jukebox all glass is perfect
round front needs minor work pick up only

That looks like an original Seeburg Model M100A to me.

I would be surprised if there is a repop of that machine out there but I will let the jukebox experts weigh in.  Pictures are kind of grainy so it is hard to tell what shape the veneers and chrome are in.  Being that they do not show the sides, I would guess that they may need some work as well.

Maybe the guy just called it the wrong thing? I think it is a true Seeburg

I was being sarcastic.. I guess my humor got lost  I am just amazed at how people can sell something and not even bother to take the time to spell the name right

I know. How many times have you seen listings by someone selling something that is "Coke Cola" or "Coka Cola"?

Seabird. Bwahahahaahahha. Seeburg is only on the  Juke in, oh...10-15 places.  Maybe it's a seabird wrecker paver...

And it is an M100a. Veneer looks original ( Sebrawood) ,  i'd pass, unless it's the original 78 player. a's were retrofitted to play 78's, the mech is built like a tank, and the machine is no joy to move.

If it's a Seeburg A it's not from 1946. I expected to see a 146 Trashcan, that's from 1946.
