Title: Vendo 110
Post by: Vendo Guy on April 15, 2004, 04:07:24 pm
What do you think ????

I picked up a Vendo 110 rather cheap.  It is missing the entire coin mechanism and coin door assembly off the front.  I am contemplating just changing it over to a Vertical 6 ... by changing out the bottle shelves and cutting out the metal where the coin door was ... and replacing it with a smooth piece.

Am I crazy ??

The coin doors and coin mechanisms I've found cost more than I spent on the entire machine!!!

Thanks,
Vendo Guy

I just picked up a nice 6-Case for 300 bucks...all complete.  They are great for home use, hold a crap-load of drinks, and you never need to fumble around for a dime.  It's all up to you what you want to do with it, but you may have a hard time reselling it (if you ever plan to).

On the other hand, you got it for a relatively cheap price so why not experiment with it?  I've heard of guys who have done worse..like converting a coke 81d into an Orange Crush 81 and having a signiture on the front door, claiming it was from the grandson of the Vendo founder...some of the readers here will know exactly who I am talking about...too many stories....
