Title: cap question
Post by: scalebowler on February 11, 2011, 06:02:57 pm
I found a jar of bottle caps at an antique store today and some have some printing over the tops like a rubber stamp or something from the bottling plant and I am trying to figure out how to remove that without damaging the logo on the caps. Anyone have any suggestions on something that might work? It looks kind of like a code or something printed in black ink. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
Thanks

Will any of this stuff damage the paint on the bottle caps or is that stuff pretty indestructable?

No way to tell without trying.
Acetone (polish remover) will take every bit of paint off.

Thats true and a few of the caps are pretty rusty  or some boring beer caps so trying it out on them won't be any big deal.
