Title: did anyone see Pawn Stars last night? Post by: bcharlton on February 07, 2011, 11:16:01 am Was it me or is it really dull to try to trick the viewers regarding old soda machines. Rick Harrison (owner of Gold and Silver) brought an old Vendo 39 to Americas Restoration's Rick dale to be completely restored.
Instead, Rick presented Harrison with a restored Cavalier 72 and told the audience it was the same machine. I was very unimpressed that the producers thought that no one would notice the switch. Those shows are a little goofy but I still watch.

He restored a pedal car for them including chrome steering wheel, hub caps. new wheels, pedals and seat for $400. I don't think Rick would have done it that cheap. I don't think anyone would have done it that cheap. He's done some other paint jobs on vehicles and the prices seem to be very low. I think he's trying to get as much free publicity as he can. Maybe he thinks he can get his own show.

Post by: coke_and_stuff on February 09, 2011, 11:18:25 pm I am not either, In a few scenes of the show with the gas pumps all lined up you can clearly see dings and dents in the pumps. Also misuse of signs and globes as with paint schemes. Also every pump he has the ad glass reads ethyl which is wrong again with the globes, signs, and paint schemes.

I must not be able to see as well as you guys. I thought his golf cart and ride on train jobs were very well done. I don't know anything about gas pumps but he might just use what he has around for spare parts. He's running a business and needs to make money it's not his hobby.
