Title: Cavalier I think?
Post by: Zach on January 13, 2011, 03:56:09 pm
Hey folks I'm a round corner machine type of guy so not to familiar with the square corners, check this out http://denver.craigslist.org/atq/2155910276.html. I'm thinking it's a Cavalier but not sure, good deal? To buy or not to buy is the question? Any suggestions and help would be appreciated. Thanks

Compressors usually only lose charge if they get damaged so beware.

It's the first series Cavalier 64, probably the most desireable of it's class and can look really nice if re-done.

Think its worth buying?

Tell him that no one is going to buy that machine from him unless he gets the compressor working........then give him $50.00 for it or walk away!

Could be a really nice machine when done, but as Glen said if the compressor doesn't work don't pay too much.

Well it is a nice looking Cav 64  yes $175 is to much  but don't insult the person  by offering $50 if you did that to me I would say SEE YA! don't let the door hit you in the  *%$  .  What I would do is take $100 bill with me and make that offer  , Yes I'm saying I would offer a $100 ,  Because it is worth that and more in parts alone , Now if you keep it and want to restore it  Cavaliers 64s are great machines for the family room or man cave and with all that nice stainless steel
trim it would look great all restored.

Well I ended up buying it, I paid $150 for it but I think the guy didn't know how to work the thermostat so I think it will cool, and is 100% complete so I mite have a good daily driver after a little tinkering. I just haven't got around to it yet... the projects never end. I started with one machine and now its grown to five with no intentions of stopping, the bug has bit me. What do these  sell for all restored? Thanks

Hey thanks, no one I know except you guys understands why I keep buying machines, everyone tells me I should get a storage locker to put these in but I keep telling them I cant enjoy them if I put them where I cant see them. I'm not to familiar with these so would anyone know what year it would be, the model is CSS-64FS?
