Title: Stoner manual scans Post by: Larry on December 23, 2010, 01:20:50 pm O.K. I have 124 scans of Stoner information. 74 pages out of my original manual and the rest are a Vintage Vending Stoner manual and some other copies of information that I don't know where it came from. They are all Jpeg's.
Any advice on how to get these out to you guys?? Larry Title: Re: Stoner scans Post by: oscar on December 23, 2010, 01:26:58 pm I believe you can download them right on to the website. Click the -downloads link and then click- other manuals and it has a link for downloading your items. Or ask Jim.
Title: Re: Stoner scans Post by: oscar on December 23, 2010, 01:29:06 pm It has a "submit file" link at the top of the page.
Title: Re: Stoner scans Post by: Larry on December 23, 2010, 05:17:09 pm Can't find any download site. Looked in photo area, read the instructions, and it seems that I am not logged in?????
I tried my new name and password and it didn't work. Anyway, I'll contact Jim. Title: Re: Stoner scans Post by: Larry on January 15, 2011, 01:51:37 pm O.K. So here is the deal. If anyone wants the Stoner information, p.m. me your address and I will send you out a disk.

Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: collecture on February 07, 2011, 10:11:58 am Maybe it might be easier on Larry to submit the PDF file to the site and let everyone download it?
Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: Larry on February 07, 2011, 10:48:28 am Jim was going to take the scans and put them on the site. The scans on the disc are jpegs. I used photo shop to open a few of the jpegs and then saved them as pdfs but the files were huge, so I aborted that. So the files on the disc are only jpegs!! I am not computer savy so Jim was going to look into converting them.
As of now, I have ten more request for discs. I'll hold off on making them and sending them out until Jim gets his disc and sees if he can convert them easily to pdfs and load them on the site. If he can't, I'll whip out another ten discs and mail them to the rest of you guys. Until then, I'm going to wait and see what happens before I make more disc and send them out. Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: collecture on February 07, 2011, 12:14:49 pm Larry,
I am absolutely in no rush. I'd be happy to make a PDF file of the manual, but I would need the actual manual as I do not know how to convert multiple Jpg images into one PDF file. If Jim can do it without too much trouble, I can wait on him. Thanks again! Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: tkaz on February 07, 2011, 12:31:57 pm Larry,
If you have Photoshop, you can save the file in the following way to make it smaller: Open File to be resized. Resize the image: Click 'Image' at the top, and then "Image Size", change the pixels dropdown to percent in the width column, then change it from 100 to either 33 or 25. Save for web: Click 'File', then 'Save for Web or Devices'. This brings up a new screen, you can adjust the Quality section and see the image size at the bottom left of the image. Then click save at the bottom. I use this all the time to get images under 100K for the site here, its really handy, and you maintain a good size and quality of image. When you do an image scan, it typically creates a really large JPEG file, to maintain as much image detail as possible. Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: Larry on February 07, 2011, 06:03:59 pm Just sent the files to Tkaz. He's going to see what he can do with it. Hopefully, he can change them all in one quick sweep and then you guys can load them at your leisure.
Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: tkaz on February 07, 2011, 07:26:27 pm Ok, the first manual (74 pages, 5.6MB) has been uploaded to the Downloads section, under Misc. Manuals.
It doesn't look like it is showing up right now? Does it need to be approved by an Admin? If you need a copy now, PM an email address, and I'll send it. Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: Jim on February 07, 2011, 09:50:11 pm Quote Does it need to be approved by an Admin? Yes, I received an email about the newly uploaded files and have approved them so they should be available...I would like to Thank both Larry and Tom(tkaz) for providing the information ! ! ! Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: mznb1u on February 07, 2011, 10:16:53 pm Larry, Tom and Jim:
Thanks for making this information available. Where can I send my order for replacement parts at the listed prices? 8) :drinking: Tim :drinking: Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: Larry on February 07, 2011, 10:32:01 pm No problem. It saves me a trip to Best Buy for discs .
Thanks Tom for your skills. Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: COREY on February 10, 2011, 03:42:21 pm Could anyone direct me to these Stoner files? I have a Stoner Junior that I would like to restore and am having problems with the rack and coin mech. I would be glad to pay for the info. Thanks!
Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: tkaz on February 10, 2011, 03:45:35 pm Login to the soda-machines.com homepage, and on the bottom left bar you will see the downloads section. The main page is separate from the forum. If you're having trouble I can just email them to you.
Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: COREY on February 10, 2011, 04:02:55 pm Thanks Tkaz, but I must not have authorization to log in there. I tried and i will not let me log in. If it is not a problem, could you e-mail them to me. I would really appreciate it. My address is coreybeckham@hotmail.com. I'll be glad to pay you for them.
Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: Larry on February 10, 2011, 05:03:55 pm If you pay him, that would defeat the whole purpose of getting the scans on the site. It's free. :oh:
I just finished sending Tom the rest of the Stoner info that I have and he will post it soon. Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: Jim on February 10, 2011, 09:32:55 pm Larry,
A big Thank You for the Manual on CD ! ! ! Received it yesterday. Corey, PM and I discuss what we need to do to get you access... Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: oscar on February 10, 2011, 10:40:54 pm Thanks for the CD Larry. Just in time to help me with my Stoner.
Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: tkaz on February 11, 2011, 01:33:32 am There's one other manual that should be up in the download sections soon, with additional info including the service tag, patent info, and a few other pages.
Big thanks to Larry on all this, over 120 manual scans of each page, much more work than I put into it. Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: Larry on February 11, 2011, 09:46:01 am You're welcome.
I hope everyone enjoys it. Thanks Tom for converting them over and making them fit. Title: Re: Stoner manual scans Post by: Larry on February 25, 2011, 08:00:46 am The final Stoner candy machine information that I have, has been loaded in the "Downloads" under "Misc manuals" and listed as "Stoner Miscellaneous info." There is a tag that shows how to adjust the machine for different prices. More useful information about loading and it also has the patent information. I find this download more useful than the manual scans.
