One of the first odd things I noticed about the Pacific NW is they don't take Christmas lights down and light them all year round.
Lends a festive atmosphere but strange.

It takes me 3 weekends to get up all my lights.  All led!!!!  Oklahoma is normally a bit windy so that always ads to the fun of climbing 20ft up in my trees.  Looks good though...

Hey guys, he's not talking about Jim's personal lights. I think he is talking about the lights in the banner on the home page!  :upside:

I love to put up outdoor lights.  But as I get older, it is becoming more and more like work.  Takes me a couple of weekends to get them all up.  Front yard and back yard.  Pictures would be great.  I am attaching a  pic of the front yard last year. We even get a little snow occasionally. Ususally try to have them all up by the 10th of December and down by the middle of January.  They remain off after the 2nd of January. Happy lighting!!

WOW!  Bob--are you sure your name isn't Clark Griswald?  That is quite a display.  I suspect that it uses a bit more juice than a soda machine.

yah,  I have been called Clark before.  Costs about an additional 100-125 for power during that time.

Trying to stay politically correct.

What is there to being "Politically Correct" at your own HOME ? ? ?
If someone did that at my home, they might find an arrow sticking out of themselves ! ! !
That's the kinda sh@#!$%t that has got this country headed toward disaster ! ! !

you need to cool your jets Jim, Your mad at the wrong mother F&C$er, They know I'm a cop and call and file bogus complaints on me all the time. I have a name for them which Larry is familiar with.  I guess when I accepted the badge I lost my 1ST AMENDMENT RIGHTS. THEY CAN SAY AND DO AS THEY PLEASE, BUT WHEN I SAY SOMETHING I AM ABUSING MY POWER OR INTIMIDATING THEM BECAUSE I"M THE POPO.  and when I said being politically correct I did not mean at my home I meant ON THIS SITE  by not using a certain adjective that starts with N. They are fkn cowards mess with your property when they see you leave, i had to put up security cameras, so lets drop it.

I wish everyone on the site a very Merry Christmas To all

I haven't had time to put up my lights for the last few years but the last time I put them up we had over 56,000 lights and it took over a month to install. T
