Title: Too cold... Post by: on March 22, 2004, 09:13:15 pm I have a Dixie Narco 300 and eery once in a while it starts freezing the cans. I keep lowering the temp but it still does it. This last time it did not freeze the coils, but only the cans. Most all the cans actually freeze and then start exploding. Gets very messy. Are there any suggestions on how to correct this issue?
If any suggestions please e-mail me at buckeye888@hotmail.com. Thanks.... Title: Too cold... Post by: johnieG on March 22, 2004, 09:44:13 pm Time to replace the Thermostat! it's either stuck or busted.
Title: Too cold... Post by: on March 23, 2004, 07:35:49 am Thanks for the response. Where is the best place to purchase for a Thermostat? Is it an easy thing to replace on my own or does it require someone that knows what their doing to fix it?
Thanks again.... Title: Too cold... Post by: johnieG on March 23, 2004, 04:56:39 pm It's not that hard to replace, just like replacing a light switch in your house, disconnect the power, remove the two screws that hold it into the machine (& the knob if it has one) then take off the two screws than hold the temperature sensing tube to the metal evaporator coil ( if it's attatched to it) some machines have the thermostats temperature sensing tube just in the free air, take a picture, or draw a picture so you can remember what goes were, lastly remove the wires on the back of the thermostat, now march it over to your local Granger store, or a heating and coooling supply wharehouse near you & they can match it up, ( usually by the numbers on the side, or by application, be sure to tell them that it's out of an old soda machine, you DON"T want one for a freezer ( unless you like frozen sodas again
