Title: Ideal 55 Post by: Gumbo on October 16, 2010, 10:51:08 am I've found a local Ideal 55 (generic) that is unrestored and very clean. The rack and the coin mech are there. He wants $400. Is this a good deal? Should I grab it? I don't need a project or need one, so I would try and turn it. :help:
Title: Re: Ideal 55 Post by: johnnyfizz on October 16, 2010, 06:33:56 pm I would say more like 300.00 would be a good deal. If you are buying for resale, as Frankie would say "That's not much meat left on the bone" To profit 100.00 you may have to sit with it for awhile until the right buyer comes along, buying it at his price. It's tough selling these days imo.
I just bought a rough generic 55, but it's complete (rack, coin mech and cap catcher) for 100.00 Title: Re: Ideal 55 Post by: Kilroy on October 16, 2010, 06:58:31 pm I'd pass. 've seen embossed Pepsi's complete with rack and coin mech for 250 - 300.
And if it's in good shape, i couldn't justify selling it for parts. Title: Re: Ideal 55 Post by: Pat Pixley on October 16, 2010, 10:36:06 pm $250 tops, sliders are starting to come out of the wood work
Title: Re: Ideal 55 Post by: Cokemachinesandmore on October 17, 2010, 05:25:11 pm I agree seems like price is to high.
Title: Re: Ideal 55 Post by: Pat Pixley on October 17, 2010, 05:40:08 pm Good god I think I counted at least 8 or 10. Sliders on eBay. Like I said they are coming out of the wood work. So you have a open market for sliders.
