Title: Eric at Kustom Krome/Global Compressors is the MAN!
Post by: 90grad on October 11, 2010, 06:12:50 pm
All,

Recently, I received some items back from Eric at Global Compressors.  He used his new chrome painting process on them.  He was able to do the crank handle, coin return trim, and bottle opener trim.  I gotta tell you they look AMAZING.  Eric is very accomodating and great to work with, and I plan on sending him some stuff off the next machine I am going to do (Cavalier 51).  I will get some photos in the next few days and post them, as I am putting the stuff on the coin door right now.

Again, THANK YOU ERIC!!!!

Here are some photos.  He didn't do the coin bezel with paint, but he did polish it up nicely.  Here is the stuff he did.  For someone who really can afford to spring for the full chrome plating, this is an EXCELLENT alternative.  Plus, you get to work with Eric, and we all know this is someone we can really trust to give his best.

Wow! That looks really good. What was the turn around time?

Brian,

He had the stuff for a little while, but I can't gauge the turnaround time on my case for a couple of reasons:

1. He was using my stuff to test his process, so there might have been some test-fix-test stuff.
2. I hit him right in the middle of his busy HVAC season.

Regardless, just give him a call and he'll give you a great estimate on what his workload is.  I cannot be happier with the whole experience and am going to send him more stuff.  I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

I'll be curious to hear how it holds up.. If it's a paint process, I'd assume it's prone to chipping? and I'd be cautious around the bottle opener area as that would be the area that would be suspectable to chipping with bottles being opened and such?
just curiuos...
