Title: Help with choice vend cvc-223 Post by: on February 20, 2004, 09:21:26 pm I have a Choice Vend CVC-223 that works fine but every 3 or 4 cans gets crunched in the vending mechanism and makes a big mess. Is there a way to "time" the machine? The only thing that I can figure is that it was set up for older bottles or cans and the diameter is bigger on the newer cans causing them to bind and burst.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Title: Help with choice vend cvc-223 Post by: johnieG on February 20, 2004, 09:51:38 pm Hi & welcome! I had a ChoiceVend CV224 (same machine, fewer columns) the setup of the helix/gears are located in the inside of the front door. it show specifically how to set the gears for cans or bottles, note that the gears & their index marks are shown as viewed fromt the Bottom, once set up properly it will vend 12oz. cans fine, however if any of your gears are missing teeth, then they will screwup the augers spacing & can crushing will occur! so, unload the machine, unbolt the uppper rack, extend the support bar at the bottom & pull the gear-base slightly up & forward to remove it from the machine to set it up & inspect EACH GEAR very carfully for flat spots & chewed up/missing teeth, the helix/augers are labeled; front, midfront, midrear, & rear, keep them in there proper order (as view from looking into the machines racks you are at the front, double stack means a double-wide vending rack/slot either single can or double can depth. if the machine was originally setup to vend bottles, then converted to cans, inorder to vend bottles again, you must remove the metal "U" shaped vending chute guard fron the backside of the chute, or you'll never be able to get the bottle out! if you have any more question just ask....JohnieG

Title: Help with choice vend cvc-223 Post by: on February 20, 2004, 10:44:03 pm Thanks alot for the help, I now have a project for tomorrow. You wouldn't happen to have a manual for your machine would you? I am trying to find the number for the florescent bulbs. They were both missing and they seem to be an odd size.
Thanks again for the help Tim Title: Help with choice vend cvc-223 Post by: johnieG on February 21, 2004, 09:55:36 am Hmm. As I recall it's a T-8 diameter bulb about 27"-28" in length. aprox. 20-25 watts, measure between the sockets (inside measurement) I belive I found it a Lowes or HomeDepot , measure it up & bring your tapemeasure along for the ride to the big box store nearest you, it's Definetly a "T-8" bulb NOT a "T-12"
if yours still has the schematic on the door look at the electrical drawing & see if they specify which bulb on the print somewhere. Title: Help with choice vend cvc-223 Post by: on March 15, 2004, 05:25:27 pm I have a soda machine that needs to have the gears adjusted for dispensing cans. I'm missing the adjustment diagram for the helix gears and wanted to see if an up close picture is available, or instructions on how to adjust. the machine will dispense cans, but only every other time. It appears the gears need adjusting and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Shawn |
