I tihnk he's trying to reccover the cost  of the restoration. It looks nice, but even in the boom times a V80  wasn't  getting anywhere near that

$1000 for the machine, $3500 for restoration makes it worth $6800.............Pawn Stars said so!

I like the SS version much better than the plain 80 version.

Looks like they used that to cover up some rust or something underneath the metal...

Nope thats how the late model V80's were. I am on the fence on which I like better. I think I like the all red version

I'm with you, Josh.  I like the all red version.  Then again, I like the solid color machines all the way around...except for a good ole V81D.

I am partial to the V80 without the chrome sides.....only because mine has been in our family since the early 60's....have seen these selling, in great condition, recently for no more than $1200....V80's needing some work around $250-350.

do people actually fork over $6000k for the round-tops?

Yes, but only for the smaller multivend machines like the V-81's or 56's

For a Correctly and fully restored Vendo 81 or 56, I'm still getting 6k for them.. could stand to sell a few more as last one sold was last winter... but for anyone who wants one..i have a's, b's and D's in stock just waiting for a downpayment
