Title: Sodablasting
Post by: msanborn on September 08, 2010, 07:16:56 pm
I recently purchased the eastward soda blaster for 279.00 with media and couldn't be happier. It took the paint off an entire 81 in about an hour and a half once I got it up and running.  The soda does not remove deep rust mainly paint and you need a lot of cfm from your compressor to run one, but if you have access to that I highly recommend it. With the costs that I have seen on here for sand blasting it would pay for itself after a few jobs.  Just food for thought.

Have used soda blasting for delicate parts with great success, as sand blasting can warp or ruin so easily

Great to hear about the positive results you had with the Eastwood rig.

Good to know, glad the door worked out of ya!
I use a small abrasive blasting cabinet for small stuff I can get in it,, big stuff done at a buddies shop... I've heard good things about the soda..
