Title: Cost estimate to replace compressor Post by: seed_drill on August 21, 2010, 10:15:57 pm First post here, and I'm sure that this is a basic question, but I have a Portable Elevator Mfg. Cooler box type machine that I had restored several years ago, and, sadly, the original sealed compressor finally gave up the ghost. I was quoted a price of $1000 for a new 1/5th horsepower unit installed, but that seemed a little steep. I just wanted some expert feedback before taking the plunge.
