Title: Is this a freon port someone tapped in?

Just curious if this is a valve someone put in to add freon? The machine is a Vendo 126

Thanks.

I have been having problems with my evaporator icing over and thought at first it was my thermostat. I put in a new t-stat and it still is happening. Could I be low on freon?

Jim,

Check and make sure your evaporator fan that sits directly behind the evaporator is turning freely and fast.

Just checked both fans and they seem to be working as they should.

Next step?

Thanks again.

Find out where the outside air is leaking in, Main-door gasket, Bottle-door gasket, etc
