Title: Re: westinghouse wd78 Post by: collecture on July 18, 2010, 11:15:11 am I may have one, but post a pic to be sure. Does the motor work? I had one that was frozen up and I sprayed it with PB Blaster and tapped the shaft with a hammer, gave it short jolts of electricity and it broke free and works like a champ now. Hard motor to find!
Title: Re: westinghouse wd78 Post by: zadd on July 18, 2010, 03:05:45 pm Havent messed with it yet . I think the motor is fine its just one of the solenoid's that's bad . I just pressure washed it to remove the rats nests and years of cat hair . :Oo: I will give it some time to dry out before I plug it in . I will get a pick of the chute . Thanks

Title: Re: westinghouse wb78 Post by: zadd on July 23, 2010, 08:34:30 pm Alright . Got the motor out and sprayed it with some liquid wrench and after some tapping the motor started turning and luckly works great now . What kind of oil does the motor take to keep it running smooth ? I just shot the liquid wrench down the oil ports to get it to work . Still looking for a bottle shoot trim or shoot . One other thing where can get some new selonoids ? Thanks for the advice .

I have some oil that my welding teacher let me use. I will have to look up the name but he also does refrigeration work and he uses it on all his motors and stuff like that. The main benefit of it is that it does not attract dust like other oils do. I will check later and let you know what it is. I just need to search some emails to find it. Also I know you can get it at grainger Title: Re: westinghouse wb78 Post by: zadd on July 24, 2010, 08:31:03 pm played with the machine some more today and got everything working and vending perfectly . Title: Re: westinghouse wb78 Post by: collecture on July 25, 2010, 10:56:34 am I have this chute and bezel from a pushbutton 78. When compared to my WB-60, the only difference I can tell is that the bottom party of the bezel is textured and not a flat finish.
Yours for shipping if you want it - PM me your address if interested. Title: Re: westinghouse wb78 Post by: zadd on July 25, 2010, 09:20:09 pm Pm sent . I will take it . Thanks
