Title: vendo junior Post by: smith on July 18, 2010, 08:52:26 am What is the chances of finding a coin mechanisms for a vendo junior? Buddy of mine has had this machine for 30 years. Marvin is 75 asked him last week if he would sale it to me, he said I could have it. Been fishing with him, since the late 70,s. It has the refrigerated unit, the body is in great shape, it gets damn cold. I am going to put under my porch for beer. Mike

I bought this years ago and I have still yet to find the interior parts needed to finish the project. The top is NOS with the original paint from the factory. And I paid a good price for it, prior to the economic downturn. The bottom is a regular Vendo Junior. If the junior your planning on buying is at a good low price, I still would recommend getting it. Just be prepared to wait for the parts needed to complete it. Title: Re: vendo junior Post by: collecture on July 18, 2010, 09:57:08 am A member here just dug a coin mech out for a customer of mine, but not sure if the deal went through or not. Do you just need the mech or do you need the "Serve Yourself" cover too? Post a pic!

I hope someone here can help him out. Title: Re: vendo junior Post by: MoonDawg on July 18, 2010, 05:56:35 pm If you want to use it for beer you can't use the bottle drum either, it's made for only
6 1/2 oz bottles. So why not remove the top and drum and install a junior lid for now? When you do find the coin mech you will have a complete machine again. I would be very surprised if the rack is there, but mech missing. 99% of the time, the mech is there and rack missing. You're very lucky if the rack is present because the mech is the easier one to locate. I've never seen an original rack for sale and I occasionally see the mechs pop up. The rack is also specific to the Junior whereas I'm pretty sure the mech is utilized on both the 123 and the 139 with the only difference being the gear on the bottom. Title: Re: vendo junior Post by: RC kid on July 18, 2010, 07:00:02 pm Now that is a wealth of information from Collecture. And that explains way I have not been able to locate a rack for my machine.
I saw a complete Vendo junior located in Richmond Virginia about six months ago. The seller wanted $550.00 for it. I thought that was a little high for an unrestored Vendo Junior. Maybe I should have tried to strike a deal with him. Thanks Title: Re: vendo junior Post by: Kilroy on July 18, 2010, 07:25:47 pm I've seen an original rack once on Ebay, before the market went phhhht. It's not a drum, but rectangular, and hung from the sides. The guy I bought my junior from made a replacement out of Plexiglas

Title: Re: vendo junior Post by: smith on July 18, 2010, 10:45:22 pm Thanks, I will post a picture once one get it.
Title: Re: vendo junior Post by: smith on July 18, 2010, 10:53:56 pm I hit the wrong button. It will take three to four weeks to get it. It is something that been with him a long time, so I want him to be at ease with it. As someone posted no inside either. At one time it was complete. Marvin remove everything, & used it for water dogs for bass fishing. He threw every part away, but it served his purpose. Like I said if I can't get parts, it will sit on my porch with beer. I will post pictures of my 81a, just starting the paint job. Done with all the body work, & thanks for the support from this site. Mike
