Title: Ideal 55 compressor removal Post by: msanborn on June 19, 2010, 03:29:13 pm There is no way I can de-attach the compressor from the lines by loosening the fittings, they are rusted shut. It looks like I am going to have to cut the lines to remove the compressor, my question is: Is there a preferred location to cut the lines for re-attachment? There are 2 lines, one about 1/4 inch, and another small wire type that connects to the dryer, can both of these be soldered back together once the compressor has been serviced? Thanks.

He can recover the freon then cut the lines where he feels is the best location.
