Title: Help with post select milk machine... Post by: seper8tor on June 09, 2010, 04:46:33 pm Well I'm starting in on my milk machine and am having issues with getting it to vend.
What I have found so far: 1. All coins fall straight through mech. Previous owner thought it was set to vend at .15 2. Payout motor runs and ejects nickels in the payout tube. 3. Light does not come on or off with payout tube empty or full 4. "Make another selection" lights work when interior weights depress empty switch 5. Mech seems to be in good shape and is clean. I checked coin path. 6. Mech model is National Rejectors 08-56-007 My guess is mech is not getting power but I don't know why. It looks like someone previous combined up some wiring under the female plug which the large 8 prong plug goes into from the mech.(see photos) Does anyone have a schematic of the 8 prong plug? Could I do the free vend modification to bypass the mech with my model? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Title: Re: Help with post select milk machine... I filled two rows of milk in each channel and put the weights in the proper positions. Is there some other switch that I don't know about higher in the machine?
Im guessing that the machine wont vend when the weights rest on the switches at the bottom of the channels. This causes the "make another selection" light to come on in the front of the machine. Turned out it was some sticking relays that were not letting my coin mech reset and therefore all coins were dropping straight through. A little WD40 and all was working great! The kids love the cold milk from the cool machine! Glen also gave me some wiring tips and showed me how to set my VMC Dual 27a to take nickels. Big thanks to Glen for the help and sharing his knowledge! Title: Re: Help with post select milk machine... Glad he was able to get it going for you! Title: Re: Help with post select milk machine... The machine looks to be in great shape. Title: Re: Help with post select milk machine... Post by: seper8tor on June 13, 2010, 04:28:23 pm For now my plan is to give it a good cleaning and replace some of the wiring that looks brittle and crumbling.
I've got the billboard at MGM plastics in San Marcos CA and they are recreating the clear plexi. After they are done I'll be taking my Milk Logo artwork to a sign maker to see if they can print it on translucent vinyl to be applied to the back of the plexi. I still haven't decided if I'm going to have it repainted or leave it as is and just polish it up. The machine is in very good condition for its age and use. The chrome is pretty good and not pitted. Once I get the billboard done I'll take some pictures. Title: Re: Help with post select milk machine... My experience has been to simply cut out the area of the vinyl decal that I wanted transparent (in this case the rectangular display area). The translucent vinyl doesn't look as good as the crystal clear plexiglass. |
