But I'm addicted! What do I know?!! Title: Re: True pepsi cooler Post by: Eric on May 27, 2010, 09:34:14 pm I would pass... get a Ideal Pepsi slider, it would be a little smaller... course I favor the older models...
but that's my vote. Title: Re: True pepsi cooler Post by: Creighton on May 27, 2010, 10:23:06 pm I'd pass. Even with polishing and cleaning up that is still a very "70's" cooler. Would be hard to get $200 around here.

Me personally I think it's ugly and wouldn't take it if given to me... but that's just me.. I like the 50's or earlier stuff, round corners only... but some members here like the 60's -70's stuff.. one it's more plentiful, cheaper and for some, it's all they remember I guess. Title: Re: True pepsi cooler Post by: jbrooks on May 28, 2010, 10:50:56 am I think it's kinda neat looking. If you're not worried about making money on it and just like it for yourself then $120 isnt a lot of money. Just my two cents.
Title: Re: True pepsi cooler Post by: mznb1u on May 28, 2010, 11:00:49 am I agree with jbrooks; however, make sure you are really going to use it or it will soon become an eyesore that is just in the way! I think we have all "that" machine at one point in our collecting!

I would pass unless it is for you. You may be able to make a little on it but you will have to find the right buyer and it will not be a huge profit and not enough to justify the time and work that will go into getting it, cleaning it up and getting it cooling. It also may be something more serious than just needing a recharge. It could be a costly fix.
Title: Re: True pepsi cooler Post by: johnieG on May 28, 2010, 10:08:23 pm if the compressor is clicking on/off, it's the over-current device (called a "klicit") telling you that the compressors drawing too much current, NOT that it simply needs a "recharge" of freon, this is a common assumption.
Title: Re: True pepsi cooler Post by: code9ster on June 02, 2010, 11:39:31 am I talked to the owner they would go as low as 90 on it. I like it but, just not sure if I want it to keep.
