Title: VMC 110 restoration questions Post by: FRESNO MAN on May 04, 2010, 08:18:51 pm I’m restoring a VMC 110 and had a few questions that perhaps someone out there can answer for me. I’ve consulted the service manual and can’t find anything in there that addresses these questions.
Picture 1- The yellow arrows point to the location of the item in the circle. Q.- What is the function of this item and how can I get another, as the other one is broken? Picture 2- Because the bottom of the cabinet is so rusted, I don’t know if I need to have any holes other than where the drain tube hooks up. Q.- Regarding the RED ARROW, What is the function of this screw and what does it attach to? Q.- I need to know how the drain tube attaches to the tub and bottom panel of the cabinet. Picture 3- Q.- Is this a particular type of calking that is the best to use for this purpose? #2 Only other holes needed would be for mounting the evaporator. I dont know what that hole is with the screw in it 81s have that as well??? I also have a very nice 110 Tub with no rot in the bottom. #3 Ive used silicone with great results. Yes, I need to get that thing shown the fist picture from you. Also, when you say you have a tub that isn't rusted out, do you mean that bottom panel of the cabinet? If so, yes, I need that too! Let me know how to proceed from here!

Do you need the lower shelf replaced in your 110 cabinet? I'm a couple of hours from you (Tehachapi) and can do the work for you if needed. Terry Title: Re: VMC 110 restoration questions Post by: FRESNO MAN on May 05, 2010, 03:15:41 pm Yes I do! my e-mail is: apple58@sbcglobal.net
