Title: Chicago Spring Show Recap Post by: SIGNGUY on April 10, 2010, 08:16:32 am Hey Guys,
Got back last night from Chicago.. not a lot to report. same stuff, same prices,, lower attendance and less vendors.. Nothing extremely rare that I had seen.. a few very nice original machines Vendo 81D and Pepsi 81 where there at some higher prices.. lots of jukes this year.. Not a lot of parts.. but the same ol other odd stuff as well.. Weather was good, cold in the morning but the sun warmed it up to at least maybe 45-50 by 10am.. We had dinner on Thursday night with Rod and Janet (funtronics), Tom from Jersy and Jay Booer, Harrison and his wife, Dan Cooney (I think it was Dan), and another collector, but sorry forgot his name.. so all in all a small group for dinner and chit chat but was still very nice to see people.. I did take some photos which I'll post later today after unpacking the truck... as far as purchases for me.. one a few small signs and some odds and ends and of course my funtronics parts i ordered.. but stil had fun! Some kewl stuff ! ! ! Do you recall the asking price of the fountain service porcelain sign in the second photo...? And perhaps you may know the price of the Wayne 60 on the trailer...? Title: Re: Chicago Spring Show Recap Post by: SIGNGUY on April 16, 2010, 08:28:51 am Sure Jim,
That Fountain Service sign had a sticker on it for 850 and the Pick up six he was asking 1400, both where NOS and very nice condition. The Gas pumps where high,, Wayne 60's still sitting around 1500-1600 up here. That's why I'm thinking of only going once a year. My wife stopped going with me a few years ago because of "all of the same stuff." I skipped a show or two a year ago, and when I went again it seemed like there was a lot of new suff there! :tounge: |
