Title: vendo 139 master Post by: jbrooks on April 04, 2010, 02:00:18 pm I may have the opportunity to buy what I believe is a Vendo 139 Master. The guy said it only has a dent in one corner and many of the guts are missing. He is asking $325. Is this a good price? How much will it cost to get this running? Are these desireable machines?
here is a link to the craigslist page. http://rochester.craigslist.org/atq/1664812514.html Thanks Title: Re: vendo 139 master Post by: SIGNGUY on April 05, 2010, 09:13:10 am It looks like it's a nice original? at least from the photo...
Not a true highly collectable machine or real practical, but would be a great looking display machine if it's all original.. I'd say thats a fair price... Long way to Greece though?? Title: Re: vendo 139 master Post by: sodaman on April 05, 2010, 09:40:16 am You had best find out what "guts" are missing, some of those are harder to find than hen's teeth.
Title: Re: vendo 139 master Post by: jbrooks on April 05, 2010, 06:03:49 pm thanks for the advice guys, I told my wife it may be a shorter trip to the country Greece that the town...it is actually in upstate NY about 5 1/2 hours away. That is why I wanted to know if I should bother, it sounds like it is not worth the trip. Oh well, I'd better keep looking for my first machine.

Yes if this is your FIRST Machine, then go with something a little more common and practical.. |
