Title: OT: Why does Google search give this result?
Post by: pinballdude on March 25, 2010, 10:28:42 pm
Sorry about being off topic, My 15 year old son shows me this and I was wondering why this happens.
I am sure someone is more in the know than this 52 year old fogie...
Bring up the Google search box...
Type in Chuck Norris...
Click on "I'm Feeling Lucky" (instead of regular search)...
View results.
I hope your results are the same as what he showed me.
And sorry if this is old hat.
Terry

Thats funny... I dunno what started it with the kids, but my kids (10 & 12) are both running around with all kinds of these Chuck Norris Jokes..

"At bedtime, Chuck Norris doesn't check his closet for the Boogie man, the Boogie man checks his closet for Chuck Norris"

Chuck Norris "Facts" have been around for a few years now, some are  laugh out loud funny.
As for why Google returns the pages it does ,  heck if I know.  How their search engine works is  a secret, but I imagine it  uses the number of requests for a  key word or words,  and some old fashioned palm grease.

One of the older "I'm Feeling Lucky" tricks, type French Military Victories and hit I'm Feeling Lucky

There also used to be on for weapons of mass destruction, but that doesn't seem to work anymore
