Post by: on December 11, 2003, 11:48:08 am
HI, i have a vendo vari-price mech model 91E9302B-3703. i have not tried to use it. i have not had one like this before and don't know any thing about it. i will send 4 pics.  the problem is there are two ??? solenoids or resistors???? in the upper right hand corner the top one for sure as gotten hot and two sets of wire connectors have melted away and the windings are black on   the top one--and a little on the bottom one.
will this affect the coin mech??? if not should i disconnect something to keep from a fire harzard??????? what are they??
And how and where to i change the pricing on this one.
Thanks Bob

The two coils are your mech's. C.R.E.M.'s (Coin Reject Electo-Magnets that is.) and are used to reject coins from the mech. when 1). There are no nickles for change, or 2). The machine is empty. (when so equipt.) or 3). There is no power to the machine. The mech will operate without them, if you disconnect the connectors & tape them up, then remove the top plate with the metal pins from the relays  by uncliping them from the hinged end. However the mech will accept all coins now even if there is no change to be given, etc. hope it helps
