Title: Just acquired vendo 63 - a question???
Post by: jenkine on February 26, 2010, 09:25:34 pm
My vendo 63 coke machine has a lighted flourescent front panel but it does not seem to have a lighted door panel where the cokes come out.  Is this normal?  The machine looks to be from the early 60s.....Thanks.

when you open the small door on the front, you should be able to see a small recess where the bulb is at the top... alternately, open the main door, and there should be a small twist fixture above the small door opening, that would hold the bulb...

Mine has a lighted sign panel, but no light at the bottle door.

Just looked at the V63 service manual from '58...  couldn't see a light above the vend door... maybe a later model addition?....

I do think it was a option or what ever was called for on the line as they were being built at the time.
I had two Cavalier 64s they were a mirror match  except one had a bottle door light
and the other did not.

The lighted sign was an option according to the manual I have.
